  • Cuckoo clock
  • Blythe doll
  • Irregular Choice shoes
  • Gift certificate for Anthroplogie or Sephora
  • A trip to the tattoo parlour
  • 2 tickets to “The Graduate”
  • Vintage half-aprons
  • Subscription to BUST magazine
  • A cure for eczema
  • Artwork by Ryden, Gehweiler, Sowa, Keane
  • A stand for my quill

    Also, maybe a haircut. I feel frumpy.

    I so feel like Snow White right now… I am still waking up, bustling about the kitchen with small beings at my feet, fixing breakfasts and feeling cheery, when just outside the window, no more than two feet away, we spy more than two dozen of the sweetest wee birdies, hopping about and chirping away. *swoon*

    Happy Thanksgiving everyone!

    I am thankful for having the kind of husband that makes other girls go green by the way he sweeps me off my feet everyday.

    I am thankful for having a charming and vibrant little girl who makes me laugh from the gut everyday.

    I am thankful to have the “cool” parents that all my friends always liked, who gave me the freedom to make my own choices and never let a day go by without making me feel loved. I wish you two could be here with us today, we all miss you, hurry home!

    I am thankful for the most sensitively intelligent big brother a girl could ever ask for, who always stuck up for me and let me tag along.

    I am thankful for a small handful of friends who are the real thing, who have stuck by me in thick & thin. You know who you are.

    I am thankful to have the strength to break-up with caffiene & nicotine and remain as sane as before.

    I am thankful for Marcy Playground, Dressy Bessy and The Pixies.

    I am thankful for this roof over my head, the warm bed I sleep in, the hot food I fill my tummy with.

    I am thankful for the ability to tell you all this with fluid ease, a gift bestowed by an amazing host of great generosity.

  • Pick up supplies at store for Thanksgiving: Yellowtail Chiraz; Fat Bastard Chardonnay; Sodas and kids drinks; Vanilla ice cream; Cranberry sauce; Miniature marshmallows; Whipped cream; Fruit cocktail; Walnuts; Mandarin oranges
  • Drop off keys to old apartment
  • Give david his mail
  • Make fruit salad for Thanksgiving
  • Clean the house before this weekend when parents return from their motorhome trip
  • Pack up anything we are not using at the moment to save space while staying at the family house
  • Salt the walks
  • Fill the gastank on mom’s car and clean it out
  • Start our car, make sure it’s ready to drive again for when they return
  • Shop for a toddler bed for Enid
  • Change all the bedding
